Back at the end of March, I had the privilege of embarking on a grand adventure to Jamaica, to photograph Lisa and Darrell's wedding. It was the first time I had travelled anywhere like that before, and it did not disappoint! Lisa's aunt Heather (who is a good friend of ours) recommended me to Lisa (thanks Heather!) many months ago, and I can't tell you how excited I was to photograph their wedding in paradise! As it turns out, Lisa and I are actually related, and didn't even know it until after I was booked as her photographer (how funny is that?). Thanks again Lisa and Darrell for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful Jamaican wedding! So without further delay, here are some sneak peeks of the wedding (which took place at the beautiful Gran Bahia Principe Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica):
And another cool addition to the day? This Jamaican band, playing music at the ceremony. Loved it!
Here's Darrell.... looking calm... and maybe just a tad sunburned!! :)
The crowd anxiously awaiting Lisa's arrival...
Darrell as he catches a first glimpse of his bride on her way down the aisle:
This photo is one of my faves from the whole day - it just feels so candid and so real - very in the moment....
Below you will see Lisa's Dad wearing a hat that several of us in the group purchased at the resort, from a local Jamaican who made them in a matter of minutes. We all thought they were so unique!
The wedding ceremony took place at the wedding gazebo, which was a quick walk down the beach and out to the water. What a beautiful backdrop for a wedding :) Here you will see the guys making their way to the gazebo:

I will have more photos to follow in the coming weeks, but I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek! Congrats again Lisa and Darrell!!

Without a doubt you have captured the emotions of the day, that is for sure. Their love for one another shines through your photography. My two favorites are the first and last ones. Great job. :)
Beautiful images Faye, you did an amazing job and I have no doubt that the bride and groom are going to love their album...and I agree, they should definitely get some of their images as BIG canvases, it would be so lovely!! ;)
